Suggest Remedy For Tingling Numbness On The Side Of Body

Question: Having a tingling numbness on the left side of my body from head to toe. Spent most of the morning in ER to make sure it was not a stroke. All tests came back clear so I went back to my family physician and his guess was Bell's palsy but its my whole left side and not just my face. Any suggestions?

Brief Answer:
I would say, simply monitor for now!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this tingling sensation that you are experiencing. At times, these things happen with no clear cause and often resolve spontaneously. The good news is that you have been cleared of all potential dangerous brain causes and am more than happy to adopt a watchful approach. Unlikely to be Bell’s palsy as bell’s palsy is limited to the face and not the entire half of the body. However, I have no reasons to suggest that you stop the steroids in as much as I have no reasons to suggest you continue with them.

In all, these symptoms are incidental and most likely transient. I will suggest monitoring. Unless otherwise, there is no reflag that needs immediate attention especially after you tests today at the ER.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
