Brief Answer:
Get ultrasound of the scrotum

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

The causes of swollen testis are quite few but to differentiate them it needs clinical examination and ultrasound of the scrotum.

The cause could be varicocele or hydrocele or cysts or hernia or cancer. These all are painless.

If whole scrotum appears swollen then it could be hydrocele. If scrotum is not swollen and testis seperately palpable and is swollen then other causes may be there.

Treatment depends accordingly. At your age cancer should be ruled out. As you said it's suddenly started that favors varicocele or a cyst diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Dr Deepika Patil
