Brief Answer:
Colour Duplex will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your concern.

The changes below your knee are possibly related to water accumulation called edema.

For this I advise you to get a color duplex scan of the affected limb.

This can diagnose any disorder of blood vessels causing such a change.

Further management is largely based on test results.

Pertaining to hip pain it could be related to osteoporotic changes. This can cause such a boring long term pain.

For this I advise you to get a BMD scan-bone mineral density scan.

Based on the results, calcium and vitamin D supplementation will help.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Possible Cellulitis

Detailed Answer:
HI.

If its only one side, then there is high possibility for infectious cause like Cellulitis ,lymphangitis .

Also the risk of venous thrombosis is high.

These conditions can be diagnosed with Duplex scan.

In such cases ,antibiotics like Hetrazan and Augmentin 2g will help.

Please note these drugs have to be taken under expert medical guidance.
