Brief Answer:
HSV can be transmitted by bedsheets

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you have an outbreak of herpes simplex viray following surgery. The virus can spread through the secretions on your bed sheets and possible on the toilet seat. So anyone helping you should wear gloves adn clean up after you to prevent spread to others

The proper treatment would be an antiviral medication like acyclovir and pain medication. A steroid dose pack may interfere with wound healing and cause other complication with immune suppression. I would not recommend using a steroid medrol dosepak at this time

I hope I answered your question. Please contact HCM again with your health care concerns
