Brief Answer:
TMJ disorder

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Jaw and ear pain is usually due to temperomandibular joint disorder where the back of the jaw where it connects to the skull is affected. Please visit an ENT doctor followed by a dentist for this problem.

Coughing when one has cold is because of post nasal drip, where mucous goes back into the throat. Cold can also make the ear pain worse. Here is what you should do

1. Tab Paracetamol is ideal for the pain. It can be taken three times a day for 3 days
2. Steam inhalations three times a day for cold
3. Tab Levocetrizine twice a day gives relief from cold and cough

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Brief Answer:
Generalized body ache

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Coughing can cause neck and shoulder pain. If you do not have fever then I recommend you to take a cough suppressant like Linctus codeine for it.
If these symptoms are there for more than 2 weeks then I suggest you to undergo blood tests like

1. Complete blood count
2.X ray of cervical spine and chest

Brief Answer:
Cervical spondylosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for getting back with the clarifications. Severe disturbance in is c1 and c5 is the reason behind your pain. Nerve supplying our body arise from the spine, any disturbance in the spine leads to pinching of the nerve causing radiation of pain.
I recommend you to meet a spinal surgeon and continue treatment with chiropractor. Tab Baclofen usually works wonderfully in such type of pain, please ask your doctor for a prescription

Hello, I've been suffering from vertigo (rocking back and forth even when I sit still) for a month. It occurs from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to sleep. I've been to an ENT doctor and was diagnosed with Viral Labyrinthitis; he said that it would go away on its own. He prescribed Teva-betahistine for two weeks to relieve the vertigo; however it's been 100% ineffective because I don't feel a difference taking the medication. I have done a blood test which didn't report any problems and my blood pressure was normal. Currently, I still have popping sounds in my left ear along with minor pain in both ears and mild tone ringing in the left ear.

Could the vertigo result from another issue such as a TMJ disorder or a brain tumor? I'm curious as to why my vertigo episode would last all day.

Thank you for your response.

I m 16 wk pregnant and I have depression which is normally under control. However, my boyfriend is always stressing on me or upsetting me he also said something last night that I really cannot forgive. He doesnt seem to understand that this stress is inevitablly going to kick start my depression as its already having a debilitating effect on me. I have been extremely lucky not to have many pregnancy symptoms, however when he stresses me out I have jaw pain, neck pain, back ache, and severe headaches (think they are migraines) and this is all down to him stressing me which makes me freeze up, get no sleep and irritates my TMJ disorder, causing the headaches (I never got them befoore pregnancy-and I dont want them to stay!!!) I have spoke to him time & time again crying begging him to stop. This is not just a matter of oestrogen levels rising he s alsways been this way with me. What can I do? Should I avoid him till my baby is due? He is doing more harm than good. Is there any literature out there specifically for this problem-making him see that he cant keep doing this-he needs to get his stress out elsewhere & be more empathetic towards me. He isnt given me any emotional support Im scared about the effects of cortisol on the baby- it causes all sorts of problems- doubles risk of still birth & other social/mental/emotional& physical problems. He needs to stop or get out!!!!!

Hi, I only have my lower wisdom teeth after having the uppers removed because of repeated cheek biting and recurrent infections. I still bite my cheeks and ocassionally need antibiotics. One dentist at my practice has advised the lower tooth be extracted but another from the same practice (you dont always get to see the same one)said the tooth itself is healthy and that because I have a TMJ disorder which I get quite a bit of pain from, he would advise against having it removed as it will undoubtedly make the TMJ issue worse - is this true? as Im not sure what to do.
