Suggest Remedy For Redness In The Testicles And Anus

default
Posted on Tue, 26 May 2015
Question: The area between my testicles & anus is kinda red & is always uncomfortable no matter what underwear I have on. It does not itch but I have to constantly adjust to not be very uncomfortable. Have tried powder, lotions, A&D, baby diaper rash lotions. None have worked. It's becoming a significant irritation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

Because this area can be very humid ,fungal infections in this area are very common. This can cause a persistent irritation.
You need to keep this area clean and dry using a powder.Wear cotton loose underwear.
I would suggest to apply an antifungal cream like Clotrimazole twice a day for 2 weeks.
If the discomfort doesn't seem to improve you may need to try applying some over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream twice a day for 1 week.
If the symptoms don't improve ,you may need to see a doctor because it might be a fungal infection that need a stronger prescription antifungal treatment or it might be chronic dermatitis that require a stronger steroid cream to clear up.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
