Brief Answer:
Observation and simple measures needed as of now

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to the site!

I am Dr V XXXXXXX a Sr Dermatovenereologist!

Your concerns have been noted and the uploaded pic examined.

It does not, at present, seem matching Herpes.

An irritant or scratching might have resulted in this lesion. It would be good to observe the lesion for the next few days and use following measures in the meantime:

1 Good hygiene practices.
2 Not to use any hair removing modality
3 Wearing of loose and cotton undergarments
4 An antibiotic ointment like one containing Mupirocin
5 Not to scratch

There is probability that the lesion willl heal spontaneously.

Our best wishes, always!

Okay, thank you. I have a couple follow up questions:

1. I have chaffing on the creases of my crotch and scrotum, how could I rid myself of that?

2. Also I have soreness on the backside of my testicles and perineum, could this be related to the chaffing, lesion or something else?

Brief Answer:
A fungal infection is a strong possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome back!

The mentioned symptoms arise mostly due to fungal infection caused by accumulation of moisture and friction.

Keep the area dry and well ventilated with suitable clothing.
One may use antifungal creams like Miconazole preparation for quick relief.

The soreness in contiguous areas can be related to the lesions in the crotch and needs identical treatment.

Hopefully, recovery will set in soon.

Best wishes

Brief Answer:
Miconazole is an antifungal

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome back.

Miconazole is an Imidazole derivative and is a broad spectrum antifungal preparation which can be used by any gender. It is not hormonal preparation. Please check that you have spelled it correctly while searching. Other drugs in this family that can be substituted are Econazole and Clotrimazole.

Clinical description matches a fungal infection in this case. However, a confirmation requires skin scrapings test which is done in a doctor's office/ lab.

For itching, one may use Levocetirizine 5 mg or another antiallergic like Cetirizine 10 mg a day

I hope this clarifies your points.

Best wishes and get well soon.
