Brief Answer:
Good diet and exercise can help you boost the immunity..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX ,

I understand your concern.

I am Dr. Arun Tank, infectious disease specialist, answering your concern.

Dengue is caused Dengue virus a sub-type of falvivirus subgroup virus. It is caused by the bite of Aedes aegypti mosquito.

It is not necessary that each and every mosquito is Aedes aegypti and not necessary that each Aedes aegypti contains such virus. You can explain this whole thing to your son that unnecessary fear should be avoided. It is not the reason to stop going to the library.

Even all those who bitten by the virus containing mosquitoes can't develop the dengue. And dengue is not life threatening in all cases. Those who infected second or third time have high risk of developing hemorrhagic fever and consequently death.

Yes, good eating and exercising habits can improve immunity. I suggest early morning 30 to 45 minutes exercise is necessary to boost up the immunity. Breakfast with eggs or soya bean preparation, fresh fruits, dry fruits etc can improve the immunity. During day time cereals can be taken. At night full glass of milk can be taken. Such healthy diet habit and exercise can help built the immunity powerful.

Further he can also use mosquito repellents. It will keep mosquito away from your son. Wearing full and loose clothes can also helps you prevent from the mosquito bite.
