Suggest Remedy For Persistent Tachycardia After Heart Stent Operations

default
Posted on Tue, 30 Dec 2014
Question: I have five heart stents, the last one put in in 2012. Over the past week or so I have had persistent tachycardia of 120 to 133. I am 77 years old and in fair health, with lots of back pain from an old injury. I have an appointment with my cardiologist on Monday, 12-08. Should I be more concerned?

Brief Answer:
If symptoms increase their intensity you should go to ER, otherwise...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX!

I read your query and would like to say that:

If your symptoms (back pain and tachycardia) change their characteristics, i.e. increase in intensity or become more frequent, than you should be more concerned. In this case I recommend going immediately on ER to rule out any serious health problems.

If your symptoms remain with the same intensity or frequent, than you shouldn't worry too much and I recommend waiting till the Monday appointment.

Wish you health!
