Suggest Remedy For Penile Itching And Blood In Urine
Question: Male 58 felt discomfort when urinating. Burning itch at end of penis. Took Doxicycline for 3 days on third day started finding blood in my urine very noticeable. Had a U A prior to the doxicycline white blood cells too many to count, RBC 9-10, Trace Bacteria. Drank lots of water blood lessened, partcipated in heavy exercise last night blood increased. Drank lots of water this morning blood is decreasing. I do have an ultra sound scheduled for the am. just looking for opinions?

As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
Your problem is mainly the blood in urine(heamaturia).
You got to find out the cause and source of the bleeding.
An ultrasound scan(KUB), is an initial scan, to see if possible cause is a stone,infection,prostate, tumor,etc.
There are so many different causes for the bleeding to occur.
You'll need to do urine culture, blood creatinine, sugar, PSA, LFT,platelets, PT,SGPT,and an ultrasound scan of abdomen, which is scheduled.
After an examination by a qualified Urologist, depending on the the reports, advice regarding treatment will be given.
Drink 10-12 glasses fluids daily.
