I have pain in my anus hole. I had the same kind of pain 3 months back and theysaid its a crack and i had anovite after 10 days i got reameady and now again i have now. When i apply oinment i have pain. What will it be. Will it be a cancer.

Hi,
By your history it sounds like you have a Fissure-in-ano.
The crack that you were told is called a fissure in medical practice.
It usually happens due to constipation and it is common for it to recur if constipation happens again.
It is not cancer, fissures are quite benign and happen due to increased pressure in the muscles around the anal ring.
You should have stool softeners or laxatives like Syrup Lactulose 30ml at night or Isabgol husk at night. For the pain you can have pain killer medicines as and when required. You should also try Sitz baths - Sitting in warm water kept in a broad mouthed vessel or tub three to four times a day. This will tide over the crisis. Also, you can apply Lignocaine ointment which gives a lot of pain relief. It should be applied before passing stools after cleaning the area and re apply after cleaning the area after ablution.
For definitive treatment, I usually advice my patients Nitroglycerine ointment or Surgery both having the potential for long term relief. You should consult your GP or Surgeon for the same and discuss the options.
