Question: yes my son is 28 and just got red all over and feels like pins he feels nausea too. thepins come in waves.
he had a sore throat lately and took cough med syrup. he takes vitamins and medicine for his intestinal problem -

his father just passed away a few wks ago.. he battled non hogkins from the age of 20's til his passing at age 56- I don't know the details of the medical because we were not together due to bipolar he suffered with also. is this a disease symptom that we can do testing on? what type of tests? he dad told him to get a certain bloodwork. his father had a large lump under his rib cage when we married prior to having the boys. because he had it before having children maybe the dna will carry the mutated gene to the boys?

he went to florida for the funeral and returned about 10 days ago. if there was something he may have caught. he is overweight and has been lifting weights the last few months building muscle. does not take protein suppements, eats a lot of cakes n sweets.

his fathers passing was unnatural but he seems to be handling it well for a young person with a nice family of his own.

he also has thalsemia minor like I do. and he was working with lead before but claims he used precautions. i doubt it. Im wondering about what vitamins he takes maybe vit C binds iron too much. will ask about the vitamins

due to some memory loss (a side effect of his meds for the intestines) he reduced his medication for the intestines.. maybe the reduction caused this flare?

the benedryl has calmed it for tonight but it seems that this is a recurring thing with no answers from what im reading. plz excuse my typing, my arms in a cast.

Brief Answer:
Could be allergic rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam

I understand your query and concern.

The symptoms which you explained pertaining to red rash and sensations of pins with nausea could be possibly related to allergic dermatitis post travel to the funeral.

This can effectively be treated with drugs like Benadryl,Nyquil.

I also advise you to stop 10% alcohol since it can exacerbate the redness.

He can continue to take Prilosec for his intestinal issues as prescribed.

Pertaining to Non hodgkin's lymphoma in father,I advise he takes up few screening tests in the form of Ultrasound abdomen,Complete blood counts/CBC with peripheral examination, serum lactate dehydrogenase/LDH and beta 2 microglobulin.

Thalassemia trait cannot cause major distress as it a mild disease.Only exposure to lead should be strongly avoided.

Pertaining to memory loss ,this is not linked to drugs.
Thank you
