Suggest Remedy For Frequent Urination
Question: My father was facing the problem of frequent urination(every 10 mins) and most of the times he is not even able to control the bladder. We consulted a doctor and went through few tests recommended by him. Frequent urination problem keeps happening to him in every 15-20 days.I am attaching the reports herewith can you please have a look and recommend accordingly. He has stone problem but do not have any pain, he is also a sugar patient but sugar is in control.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts and the report of your father that you have posted I would summarize his problems
1) He has gall bladder polyp which is benign in nature
2) he has one stone of a size of 9.8 mm in urinary bladder .
3) He has impacted stone in his left lower ureter causing back pressure changes in ureter and left kidney
4) He is known diabetic and have not mentioned whether it is under control or not .
5) He has Enlarged prostate.
Looking at the multiple problem I would suggest to plan treatment as detailed below.
1) Bring blood sugar levels under control with insulin so that rest of the surgical procedures that are needed to be done at earliest can be carried out .
The basic cause for his urinary symptoms and having stone in bladder and ureter is Enlarged prostate which needs to be dealt with first
He needs to undergo endoscopic resection of prostate (TURP), the stones in the bladder and stone in the ureter (all the three procedures ) can be carried out simultaneously in one sitting .
Once he recovers from this surgery which may take 3-4 weeks he can be operated for Laproscopic Cholecystectomy to remove his gall bladder,

Thanks for you response Dr XXXXXXX The blood sugar is in control, u can also refer the 2nd attached report which says the HBA1c is 7.2%. I have few follow up questions on this -
1> As per the report, is the problem in gall bladder alarming? or can wait for 3-4 weeks for gall bladder removal i.e. till he recovers from other treatments.
2> Based on the age of the patient, should we go for gall bladder removal along with the other treatments together(prostate and stone treatment)?
3> As I am from XXXXXXX can you please recommend some hospitals which specialize in this and are not too costly.
4> What is the average cost of the treatments.

1) The polyp in the gall bladder is benign in nature and one can certainly wait for 4 weeks or till he recovers completely from the first surgery which is rather more morbid than Laproscopic Cholecystectomy.
2)One would personally suggest not to carry out all the procedure in one sitting as it will be more traumatic surgically for his age .
3) I have no knowledge about Hospitals and charges in XXXXXXX .You have to inquire with your family physician .
