Suggest Remedy For Frequent Dizzy Spells

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Aug 2014
Question: I have dizzy spells and the drs. here can't find anything wrong with me. I blacked out once and again passed out exactly one month apart from each episode. I had a little low potassium they said and my white cell count was high. Had a MrI, and ct scan of my head, arteries in neck ok, did a tilt table test for 20 min, blood pressure and pulse stayed good. Today my head feels light. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Seizure

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

I see that your doctors have done a wonderful job in ruling out all causes of fainting spells. Few other possibilities of dizziness are the following

1. Low potassium causes dizziness and weakness. I would like you to get further evaluation for the cause of low potassium. Please get a urine routine which includes urine potassium and urine pH
2. The other possibilitity which is often missed is a seizure disorder. A rare type of seizure presents like fainting spells and dizziness. Please get an EEG done, if it is normal I would like you to take seizure provocation test

A mild increase in wbc count suggests an infection. Please get back to me with the value so that I can help you better

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

I wish you good health

Regards
