Brief Answer:
Need for potent steroid creams

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
Your wife seems to be developing contact eczema over the hands .
Now the most important thing in such an eczema is to keep the affected areas moisturised.
She should apply plenty of oils or moisturisers over the hands often .
She needs to be treated with potent topical steroids like clobetasol or halobetasol, but such medicines are prescription creams .
As far as Otc agents are concerned, she can apply cortisone cream over the affected areas two to three times daily .
She should avoid contact of hands with harsh chemicals and detergents .

Hope it helps
