Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, we should first rule out sleep apnea in your case because you are obese, having snore and diabetic.
So first of all get done sleep study to rule out sleep apnea.
You should loose weight and avoid stress and tension.
You may need BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) machine on the basis of sleep study.
Please let me know
1. Your exact height and weight
2. Do you have day time sleepiness?

I don't think it is apnea now dr. It's a shortness of breathe starting about 6 pm getting worse thru night. I am 6 foot 215 lbs. weighed 180 before quitting drinking. Now drinking again after 3 years. Step down program to stop again. Anxiety is a big issue but I'm tough. Don't think I'm obese type 1 since I was fourteen. Local dr diagnosed bronchitis week and a half ago. Took z-pac and cough med with codean Felt better But snoring has been going on for 3 months what is going on. Don't look fat at all except big belly

Can't smoke anymore. Have for 20 years tho. Had 2 cigarettes in last 4 days. No inhaler at all but feels like I need one. Thanks. DR. Just think I can't exhale all the way to get proper breath. Heavy feeling on upper chest. Causes anxiety.

In my opinion, you should quit smoking as soon as possible.
Get done PFT (pulmonary function test).
You are mostly having chronic bronchitis.
And you will need inhaled bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS).
Don't worry, you will be alright.
