Brief Answer:
known side effects

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

All medications have potential side effects that may or may not occur.

Acyclovir can potentially affect different systems of the body (nervous system, renal or gastrointestinal) but gastrointestinal side effects are the most common reported side effects.

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain are the gastrointestinal effects that are most commonly seen. Bloating and excess air can also occur.
This means that it is definitely possible that they are the source of your symptoms.

Many antibacterial , antiviral medications can affect the gastrointestinal tract. The use of probiotics (either on their own or in yogurts with probiotics) can sometimes prevent this effect on the intestines.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
