Brief Answer:
I would recommend as follows

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would like to encourage you to follow a healthy lifestyle and diet too.

It is necessary that you closely monitor your blood pressure (several times daily, for a couple of days) to ascertain that you haven't uncontrolled high blood pressure.

If such is the case, an appropriate therapy and follow up should be applied.

You need also to avoid close smoking contacts and treat potential dyslipidemia (necessary to check your blood lipid profile).

A meticulous glucose metabolism control (fasting glucose and HbA1c) would identify possible glucose intolerance or even diabetes.
In such case a balanced diet coupled with underlying treatment would be helpful.

You should control your body weight.
According to this purpose a physically active profile and a well balanced caloric diet would be of utmost importance.

Several exertion regimen may be useful.

I would encourage walking at least 4km daily, or performing aerobics, cycling, swimming etc. as well.

Regarding a healthy diet, I would recommend you Mediterranean diet.

All the above measures will be helpful to relieve also your depression.

In case of symptomatic persistence of depression, I advise consulting with the psychiatrist for an appropriate therapy and follow up.

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions whenever you need!

Best wishes,
Dr.Iliri
