Suggest Remedy For Cuts On Clitoris Caused By Allergic Reaction To Bikini Cream

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Nov 2015
Question: A few days ago I used XXXXXXX sensitive bikini cream. Followed the directions but it didn't get all the hair off so I shaved the rest of the hair off. A day or so later I noticed a large cut on my labia near my clitoris and on the area between my vagina and anus. I also notice bumps with white heads. It's extremely painful. It doesn't burn when I pee just when wiping. It's been like this for 3 days now. Getting better but still painful and my thighs are starting to feel pain when I walk or sit a certain way. Is this a really bad chemical burn? What should I do to help it heal? I've been using RectiCare and excedrin for the pain which helps some.

Brief Answer:
Seems like allergic reaction to the skin cream

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems as if you have suffered from an allergic reaction to that bikini cream and later on got worsened by some physical trauma or cut at the site due to shaving as inflamed skin was easy to be traumatised with such manipulations.

Ideal approach would be to use anti histamines like cetrizine or loratidine orally alongwith topical steroid creams like hydrocortisone, and emolients to keep the site moist and act as a barrier to contamination with bacterial exposure repeatedly. If anybsigns of infection or discharge appears or you experience any temperature spike you may need to use topical antibiotics for secondary infection like fucidin cream. Using anti inflammatory drugs like acetaminophen or ibuprofen will help with both pain and reducing inflammation Get the site reviewed by a dermatologist if problem persists. Next time before using any new cream, apply it on a small patch over forearm for a while and if no side effect or any allergic reaction is observed, only then proceed with the usage on sensitive skin like genitalia.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask or else close the discussion. You can also reach me directly through my profile in future, in case of any more queries. Regards.
