Suggest Remedy For Concussion After An Accident

Question: Hello. My 23 yr old daughter was in a car wreck on Friday. We went to ER that night and she has a pretty significant concussion. No bleed on the brain via CT. Yesterday I took her to the store and she was so confused and crying. I knew signs were still there. She woke up about 30 min ago and she began bleeding from both nostrils. Is this in any way releated 3 days afterwards or maybe normal dry air nose bleed

Brief Answer:
repeating a CT Scan of brain and face may help

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the query

I feel that there is a possibility that this is related to the event.

Sometimes the ct scan does not pick up a bleed very very early, or if the bleed is originally very small, a small SAH can be missed (SAH- sub arachnoid hemorrhage).

There is a possibility that while the brain was normal, a facial bone was hurt that is bleeding now. I would suggest meeting a doctor again and repeating a CT Scan of brain as well as face.

It is better to meet a neurologist as well as an ENT specialist.
In case she is still bleeding, apply ice to her nostril.

Please feel free to contact us for more information.
Best of luck
