Suggest Remedy For Cold, Runny Nose And Sneezing
Question: Hi Doc,
Your advise did solve my problem. But I am again suffering from a bad cold, running nose. Keep sneezing throughout the day, i guess I have become vulnerable to it. I am not sure if allopathic drugs would have any medicine to kinda uproot the cause.
I have been taking steam but with only little effect.

Hi, Thanks for the query.
Sorry for delayed response as I was of to a camp.
There seems to be an underlying allergy from your symptoms.
Allopathic system deals with allergy by controlling symptoms and suppressing agony. Other systems of medicine may be offering something but I am not an expert to comment.
Please use steroidal intranasal sprays like Fluticasone(Avamys) one puff twice daily along with hyper or iso tonic saline (Solspre or Physiomer) nasal irrigation sprays.
Additional anti allergic tablets can be used for initial 2-3 days.
Immunotherapy has some but not a proven role and you can discuss with a doctor there. For above mentioned drugs, your doctor can prescribe these if there are not available over the counter.
Avoiding a specific allergen if it can be found helps.
