Brief Answer:
need to see doctor immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question. With cirrhosis you can accumulate water in your abdomen. it is called ascites. Sometimes this fluid can become infected and cause a peritonitis which is very serious. If your abdomen is hard and sore and you are having trouble breathing, you need to be seen as soon as possible. The doctors in the Emergency Department may need to draw off some of the fluid in your abdomen and make sure that it is not infected. They also may need to change your medications. If you can not get in to see your doctor right away then I suggest that you go to the emergency department.
I hope you are able to be seen very soon

Brief Answer:
yes, I am concerned about infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your follow up. Yes, your abdomen would feel harder standing up because that puts more pressure on it. With the jaw and head pain it really makes me even more concerned about infection so I hope you will be able to see a doctor very soon.
