Question: I am obese and my current weight is 99 Kgs. I need to bring my weight down to 75 Kgs and I am targeting this weight loss in next 1 year. I have joined gym now and doing 45 mins workout (mainly cardio) at least 4 times a week. Also, I have sent request for a dial plan in this site.

In parallel, I wanted to know more about any medicine which will help reduce my weight. I am reading on internet a lot of good feedback on Garcinia Cambogia capsuls. I wanted to check if I can use it and get benefit out of it. From the reviews I have read, it is very effective for people who are doing moderate daily exercise with taking these capsules.

Also please advise what brand you recommend and what dose.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and really appreciate for the most important step for weight loss i.e. the positive will to loose weight..

So your targeting an avg 2 kg weight loss per month, well I'd suggest you to target around 1 kg per month for the beginning phase for next 6 months, as with these work-outs, our body goes through certain metabolic changes too, and after 6 months you can concentrate on rigorous exercise plans(once your muscles got all toned up to the process) and focus on loosing further weights..discuss this with your Gym instructor..

Good to hear that the diet plans on the way too, it's extremely important to get the proper diet to get the complete effects..

Now as for your next query, regarding medicines, let me enlighten you with the fact that Garcinia Cambogia is just another herbal supplement containing HCA (hydroxycitric acid), role of which in loosing weight is still quite debatable.

Moreover there is still no established data on human regarding it's long term benefits versus risks..it mainly acts by reducing the sense of hunger thus creating a sense of fullness of abdomen and reduce food intake..

If I were your treating physician, I'd strongly suggest you to stay away from all those lucrative advertisements, as here we still need time to establish if this is safe at all..

Overnight Weight loss is just another part of the advertising as it's simply neither normal nor achievable, so please don't trust them..

Just concentrate on the plan that you've already undertaken, increase your water intake(if sweating excessively, then drink as much as 4- 4.5 ltr of water daily as it'll not only speed up your body's metabolism but also help in detoxify and loose weight)..

Replace your daily grains with wholegrain products, avoid all those fizzy, carbonated beverages, drink fresh fruit juices and not those canned ones, include green leafy vegetables and lean meat like fish, poultry in your diet - all these will help you regulating a healthy body weight..

I've tried to make it as simple as possible for you, let me know if you're having any further queries..

Remember-weight loss is a hard earned process and like any hard process the end result is quite good, so don't believe in overnight miracles..

Take Care
Kind Regards
