Question: Good afternoon Dr. Rynne...Few days ago while I was making my ponytail , my fiancee that was next to me notice that there is a bit visible arteria or vein behind my ear....I took a look with the mirror and realised that is more visible when I am moving my neck up and down on the left side.
I have quite problems with my neck very often, sometimes I go to kiropract to adjust it but fast go back on the place where it was and cosing me pain.
As well I am under Candida diet, if that can have anything to do with this problem.
Thank you in advance

Brief Answer:
Just a superficial visible normal vein

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I saw carefully your photo and I read carefully your question too.

It seems like its a visible veins, more then the others. Our body has variations and one side always has small changes from the other, for example one foot is slightly bigger then the other, same with breasts as well.

I think that the vein you have spotted its nothing to worry about if its not painful to the touch, or if yoi don't touch lymphnodes behind your ear. If that its the case, then let me know. But you don't give me that impression from your query.

So to summarize, if that vein its not painful to the touch and if you don't have enlarged lymphnodes in that side, then the vein its just superficial and that makes it evident but normal.

Hope this is helpful.
