Brief Answer:
You should be investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Black coloured stool is commonly due to minor bleeding ulcer in the Stomach /Duodenum.Blood in the upper part of the Gut undergoes changes and becomes black and comes out mixed with stool.Upper GI endoscopy will confirm the diagnosis.
If blood is bright red and passed in stool, then it is from lower part of the Gut.
Colour of the stool also depends on the food that you have taken.
Please consult your doctor, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Till investigations, avoid Non steroid anti inflammatory drugs.I prescribe Proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole 20mg twice daily along with Sucralfate syrup 10ml thrice daily.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
