Brief Answer:
Yeast infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the images.
The images are suggestive of yeast infection I.e candidal balanitis. This is not herpes.
I suggest you to apply candid B cream, twice daily for a week.
If this problem is recurring I would suggest you to also screen for blood sugar.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Not HSV. A mild yeast infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Right, HSV presents with recurrent genital sores. These are episodes. Not persistent. So this is not herpes
You have a mild yeast infection. I think you would be fine with the cream I suggested.
Avoid soaps etc for this area as they might also cause irritation of sensitive skin in this area and present as redness or spots like this.

Brief Answer:
HSV is the most common STD. It is not life threatening
Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you.
No. HSV is a not a life threatening disease. It presents with recurent genital sores which can cause pain and discomfort and interfere with sexual life. The infection can be passed on to sexual partners. However, the sores of herpes heal with treatment and in most individuals who have an old infection with herpes the frequency and severity of episodes diminishes with time, so much so that some patients with an old infection may not even notice an episode of genital sores.
