Brief Answer:
Local analgesic gel and hot compress can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The persistent pain in the shoulder joint can be related to frozen shoulder, tendonitis or due to the injury to the soft tissues. This can be relieved with rest, mild pain killers, hot compress and local analgesic gel like Volini. In case the pain is persistent then you can get oral muscle relaxants prescribed from your physician.
Doing a regular physiotherapy under the guidance of a physiotherapist will also help.
It is best to try hot compress and local analgesic gel. In case the pain is unbearable then it is best to see a private specialist and get an MRI scan done for proper diagnosis.
I hope this answers your query.
