Suggest Remedies For Persistent Cough, Cold And Fever

Question: My father in law has been suffering with severe cough and cold since the past one week. Ha fever for the first two days after the antibiotic course. but still has cough and cold. Please advise.


good advise but he is not yet cured of his cold and cough. could have asked a few more questions.

I have reviewed your father in law's information fully. Given that he has received antibiotics and no longer has fever, this means that his infection is well controlled. However, cough would always take a longer time before disappearing. The good news is that this cough doesn't suggest the need or warrants any further antibiotics treatment especially in the absence of further fevers, chest pains and breathing difficulties. I recommend that he drinks much water to facilitate coughing up the phlegm. Complete resolution would be spontaneous and requires nothing else but some more time.
