Question: Hello Doctor,

This is to bring to your notice that for the last 4 months i have been suffering from back pain just below the spinal cord. One day while i was sitting on bed and my kid who is 2 years old and weigh around 12 kg was playing near to me. Then while sitting on bed i took him up to bring him to bed. Since then there is a pain in my back and i am not able to bend properly. when i sit and then get up i can get up straight. it pains while getting up.

Hi,
Thank you for query.
I saw the message.
You are having Low back ache. It quite common in your age group.
You can go for stretching exercises like reverse extension and apply Sumo spray if pain is persistant.
You can also apply hot pack to relieve muscle strain.
Avoid lifting weights, long travels, sitting and standing for long hours.
If the pain is still persistant, then get an x-ray LS spine and Vit-d levels done.
