By increased gas do you mean increased belching or increased flatus?
Do you get abdominal pain and abdominal bloating?
Are you a diabetic?

Thanks, Doc for your quick reply.

By increased gas I mean increased flatus. I don't have abdominal pain, but abdominal bloating. I am not diabetic. I have this problem every day specially after dinner.

I had fissure problem too, so I am also being very picky about food, but I usually have increased flatus when I eat outside food.
Thanks,
XXXXX

Brief Answer:
Answer give below

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.

Some amount of flatus can be considered normal. It is said a normal person passes flatus upto 20 times a day.

Increased flatus can be due to certain food items you take or if you have bowel infection.

Carbohydrate/fiber rich food increases bowel gas. Try to lessen these if you have increased gas. You can also take digestive enzymes like Galto/Beano for relief.

Infection also increases flatulence. Stool analysis may be done to confirm infection. Take a course of probiotics.

Simethicone ( available as Gasofilm) will provide relief from increased flatus.

Dr.R.K.
