Brief Answer:
Enuresis treatment needs patience.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist.,i can fully understand your concern.

Waking and lifting, have been found to be ineffective in treatment of enuresis.
The main principles for treatment are :

1. Enuresis alarms.
2. behavioral therapy.
3. imipramine.
4. counselling.
5. no anger reactions from parents.
6. drinking water in daytime.

With these measures,a majority of patient's have got good relief.

Hope your doubt's are cleared.
Wish him good health.

Answered by Dr. Matthew J. Mangat 8 hours later
Brief Answer:
enuresis alarms not favourable in long term.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Personally,i don't recommend any enuresis alarm in heavy sleepers.
Whichever is available from your pharmacy, may be tried.
In the long term, results don't give good response, in the majority.

You should stress on the other options, as mentioned in my previous reply.

Wishing him good health.
