Brief Answer:
Can be most likely GERD (gastroesophageal reflux)

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to GERD (gastroesophageal reflux). This can give upper respiratory tract irritation or allergy.

Taking proton pump inhibitors like Esomeprazole (Nexium) and motility enhancers like Domperidone for long term will be helpful for this. Avoid excess spicy , greasy , fatty and junk foods. Carbonated drinks , Coffee , alcohol and smoking should be avoided also. Have light meals at short intervals. Have dinner at least 2 hours before bed time. Raise the head end more with adequate pillows.
If there is no improvement then a consultation with gastro enterologist should be done.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
GERD can be the primary cause.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

GERD can be the primary cause of your problem most likely. But in some irritation from GERD can gives allergy symptoms like sneezing , eye irritation etc. In case of of such symptoms taking antihistamines like cetirizine (Zyrtec) also will be helpful. But once the primary problem is solved this won't occur.
