Question: Prompt and incisive response to my question relating depression to Rheumatoid arthritis. I also feel when I get stressed or depressed for too long my symptoms flare up.

Hello,

Several studies had proved that when is a mood disturbance or a flare of depression that you described can lead to more severe symptoms of RA.
At this time the doctors always suggest supplemental non medicine therapy in the form of Psychotherapy, Biofeedback, Yoga and Meditation till the time the mood swings stabilize.
Acupuncture and accupressure can be tried for the arthiritic pains along with better pain medications.
