Suggest remedies for cough, running nose and ketones in urine of a child

Question: my six year old son has ketones ++ and pus cells 0-1/h.p.f. and epithelial cells 0-1/h.p.f.he is complaining of cough and running nose.

Both things are unrelated.
Ketones in urine can be present if child has diabetes or infection.
While pus cells and epithelial cells are normal so we have to do a blood sugar level to rule out diabetes.
For cough and running nose you can give a cough syrup like chericof three times a day for 3 days.
Review with blood sugar report.

Hi,

We want to rule out diabetes and for this we need blood sugar levels.
In diabetes, in early stages only ketones are present in urine and at a later stage sugar can be present in urine.
It's better to rule out diabetes at an early age if urine report shows ketones and for this we need blood sugar levels.

Hi,

I have seen all the reports that you have attached.
Only ketones are present in urine.
Blood sugar report is also normal.
Ketones in urine can be present primarily in diabetes but some other conditions can also have ketones in urine like acute illness, prolonged vomiting, anorexia, hyperthyroidism etc.
I think that this ketones in urine is due to illness only.
Once illness gets corrected, it should also correct.
Repeat urine culture after 1 week.
