Suggest Remedies For Constipation In An Infant
Question: Hi, My 1mnth 10 days old baby has not done potty since 3 days..what should I do?
Brief Answer:
No need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. Infants show wide variations in frequency, colour and consistency of stools. If your baby is feeding well, active and alert then there is no need to worry. You may wait for 2-3 days for her to pass stools. Ensure regular breastfeeding. If on formula feeds then ensure proper dilution of feeds.
You may use half glycerine suppository per rectum if needed thereafter.
Hopefully it will be of help.

Oki. Thank you for your advice. Another thing I am resly concerned is post feeding my daughter removes quite a alot of milk den aft half an hr o so removes curd.I do burp her after feeding.Pls suggest.
Brief Answer:
Burping, head end of crib slightly higher
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Babies frequently bring out milk or curdy thing after feeds. But no need to worry if your baby is active, alert, feeding well and gaining weight. Ensure proper burping and raise the head end of crib slightly while baby lie down. This will help in improving the condition.
Avoid any medications for the condition. It improves in the next few months.
