Question: Hi,
Can u suggest some home remedies for my son who is 3 years old. He keeps getting cold and cough. We live in XXXXXXX and the whether condition here is quite eratic. I want to avoid giving him allopathy medicines all the time. hence checking for some typical dos and donts to try and courtail common cold and cough in 3 yr olds.

Welcome to the HCM.
Common cold or upper respiratory tract infections are viral infections
Usually spreads to other persons through droplets of cough & sneeze from already infected persons. So avoid contact and going closer to such infected persons.
Self immunity to be improved by taking balanced healthy diet.
always take freshly cooked food, avoid food/fruits/candys/cold drinks/ toffys/chocolates/sweets kept in the refrigerators for days together.
Always take fresh Citirous fruits which are full of antioxidants.
Use tulsi leaves /green tea regularly.
Regular physical exercise.
VITAMIN-A, C, D IMPROVE IMMUNITY.
High protein diet.
