Suggest Remedies For Bruise On The Arms And Legs

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Nov 2017
Question: I bruise very easily on my arms; much more than legs. And yes..I'm on a low dose aspirin regimen. But those I know on same aspirin regimen don't bruise to my extent. I wear long sleeves most of the time to hide bruises. I am a very physically active gal, 68 years old, in very good health, 5 feet tall and 107 pounds. No weight or exercise problems.

Thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Aspirin is antiplatelet and can be the cause of these easy bruisings. You need to be evaluated for bleeding diathesis completely. Some baseline investigations need to be done to find out platelet count and functions, liver functions and PT INR along with bleeding and clotting times to find out the cause of this bruise. If all other etiologies cleared, then this bruising will be labelled due to aspirin and its dose will be adjusted. Consult your local physician and let them help.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
