Suggest Remedies For Blisters At The Back Of The Mouth

default
Posted on Tue, 4 Apr 2017
Question: what would cause a clear blister in the back of my mouth that apparently breaks or goes down and then comes back in a few days or so in the same spot. My dentist saw it and sent me to a ear, nose, throat dr but it wasn't there by the time I got to my appt. and was there a day later. When its there, my gland seems to hurt a bit or once my jaw seemed to hurt. Its a little smaller than a pea. It's location is not by my tonsils but just a little past my lower right molar.

Brief Answer:
It could be a Retention cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

As per your description, it could be a Retention cyst. It occurs due to blockage of Saliva
It gets ruptured spontaneously or due to trauma .
The cyst has to be removed completely along with its wall to prevent recurrence.
Please consult your surgeon when it appears and proceed further.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
