Brief Answer:
can cause different symptoms

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you have accidentally taken more of the gabapentin than you would normally use, then you may need to see your doctor depending on how much was used.

The dose of gabapentin can vary depending on individual response and condition being treated, it can potentially go up to 1800mg a day, in divided doses.

Gabapentin overdose can cause:loss of balance, difficulty breathing, sedation or in some persons the opposite- excitation, dizziness, double vision, tremor

It is possible , if increased doses of gabapentin was used, that it has contributed to your symptoms but your doctor may want to rule out other causes as well such as an acute viral illness.

Viral infection can cause the fever and chills (trembling and feel cold though body is hot).
The chills occur because the body's 'thermostat' is trying to reset the temperature.

Viral infections would also cause fatigue, muscle or joint pain

Fluids, rest, paracetamol/ibuprofen are the main general treatment for viral infections but specific symptoms would require specific medications eg stomach upset or nausea/vomiting or cough/cold symptoms

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Thank you for your reply.
What is a viral infection and how would I come in contact with it? Is it air-bourn or would I have had to ingest the virus?

Brief Answer:
There are a lot of viral infections- common cold, flu, stomach flu

Detailed Answer:
HI

Sorry for the delayed reply

Infections can be viral (caused by a virus), baceterial (caused by a bacteria), parasitic (caused by a parasite) or fungal (caused by a fungus)

There are millions of viral infections. The most common infections such as the flu, common cold, vomiting/diarrhea due to stomach virus, chicken pox, viral red eye/conjunctivitis, hepatitis ,hand/foot/mouth disease, measles, mumps, rubella.
These are all some types of viral infections, there are a lot more.

Infections can be airbourne, ingested, contact with surfaces, there are different ways of getting a viral or other type of infections.
It would depend on the type of infection that is present.

A cough/cold or flu is spread airbourne or contact with infected surfaces (eg someone sneezed or coughed on a surface)

'Stomach Flu' is spread by mouth

Some viruses are spread by contact with infected areas eg chicken pox
