Suggest Remedies For A Lump In The Left Shoulder

Posted on Wed, 29 Nov 2017
Question: I have a hard bump on my left arm close to my shoulder. I have been rubbing on it so now I feel like I bruised it. Is it possible to have a cancerous tumor growing on the outside of upper arm?

Brief Answer:
That is very unlikely!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks s much for this query.

It is rare to have a tumor of the skin. Given your age, it is even more unlikely. However, I will like to see an image of this area to be certain that there is truly nothing to bother about. To upload an image, simply click on the link to upload a file and follow the instructions. If this proves difficult, please send the image by mail to YYYY@YYYY and request that the image should be uploaded to your query.

In the interim, I will recommend that you refrain from constantly touching on this area. Also, take tylenol 1000mg at most thrice daily for pain relief.

I do promise to get back to you with more insights and helpful recommendations as soon as the requested information gets here.

I uploaded the picture of my arm. its not really a visible lump. but the locations is on the left of the Jesus tattoos face (looking directly at arm). it just feels like a hard mass under that area that started to hurt after I kept rubbing it. I have pretty high anxiety, so my first fear is some kinda of tumor growing on the arm or its something I always had before from working out in the past.

if I reach my arm straight out you cannot see a lump in the skin, only if press on that area. my other arm has an area similar but not as large.

Brief Answer:
Not cancer!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have looked at it and there are no clues about a possible cancer. I suggest that you free your mind of these disturbing thoughts as they are not necessary at this time. Also, refrain from constantly picking on this area as it causes minor trauma with ensuing inflammation and pains.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
