Suggest Remedies For A Ganglion Cyst On The Wrist

default
Posted on Wed, 11 Oct 2017
Question: I found this pea sized lump on my knee a week ago. It's feels squishy when I press on it, but does not hurt. However, my knee kind of aches. I currently have a ganglion cyst on my wrist for 5 months now. Is that what this is? Can you get them on your knees? My chiropractor looked at it, and said it was bursitis or scar tissue and wasnt concerned. I'm scared it's bone cancer though. I can't see my regular doctor for a month. Any ideas? picture attached

Brief Answer:
Ganglion cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

I have read your query and viewed the attached photograph of your knee.

It is very much possible to be a ganglion cyst on the tendon near the knee. Ganglion cyst of the Quadriceps tendon of the knee are common.

You can get it confirmed by getting an ultrasound to find out if it is a ganglion.

It is definitely not bone cancer so no need to worry. Apply warm packs to the affected region.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Ok. So, if it is a ganglion cyst, could it be causing the achy feeling in my knee?

Brief Answer:
Could be knee arthritis

Detailed Answer:
The aching in the knee could be due to arthritis.

Do get an Xray of the knee to confirm.
