Question: Do we have any Preventive Vaccine for H1N1 ? if yes, can it be used by both adults and kids of 3 years age?

I am Dr Nilesh Fichadiya answering your questions.
We have 2 type of vaccines against swine flu H1N1 influenza virus. One is injectable vaccine and another is nasal spray. They are available at selected medical stores. You can check at your near by medical store. Nasal spray vaccine is a newer one and may not be available everywhere but injectable vaccine would be.
Injectable vaccine can be given to children above 6 months age as well as adults. It would cost around 400-500 rupees.
So yes, we have a vaccine available against H1N1 influenza which can be given to child of 3 years age and adults.
