Brief Answer:
Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Sorry you are sick.

Here are some suggestions:

If you are having difficulty getting the mucus up, take guaifenesin. This is a mucolytic, and if you drink plenty of water (2 glasses for every 400 mg), it can help thin your secretions so they can pass more easily.

For cough suppression, an over the counter is dextromethorphan.

Guaifenesin and dextromethorphan are sold together in various products such as Mucinex DM or if you want a liquid, Robitussin DM (the DM stands for dextromethorphan).

If your cough is a result of post nasal drainage, you might wan to consider a nasal steroid such as Flonase. It will take a few days for this to stabilize your sinus membranes.

I hope this helps and you are soon feeling better.
