Suggest Medication For Low BP

default
Posted on Wed, 19 Oct 2016
Question: Hi,
My wife (XXXX, age 25) is generally low on BP. Her BP as checked last month was 70/90 and this is her general range. We have done all sorts of checks including ECG and Thyroid gland. Everything seems to be normal and the Docs have concluded that this is a normal condition.

She has headache at times and feels sleepy during such episodes. She also vomits at times. This is more often during her monthly cycle but she also has this problem otherwise. When she has such headache, she would have a glass of lime juice with salt and then slowly the pain would subside. At times it lasts for longer duration.

Is there a permanent cure for this? Or can you prescribe any medication which she can have during such times?

Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
No medications

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

I am sorry to say that there are no medications to increase the blood pressure.

Exercise on regular basis can increase the heart strength and its effect on BP. This is the only and natural way to beat low BP.

Headache and vomiting may not be related to low BP. It could well be migraine if it is episodic and occurs frequently. Do observe the pattern of headache episodes and associated symptoms. Please consult Your treating doctor for the management of the same.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.
