Brief Answer:
Some alternatives.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Dopa agonist class drugs like Mirapex are generally the preferred drugs for restless legs syndrome. However there are some other alternatives if you can't handle side effects.
Anticonvulsants like Gabapentin or Pregabalin are one other alternative which could be tried.
A benzodiazepine like Clonazepam is also a commonly used alternative.
Other options include codeine and clonidine.

You should discuss their use with your doctor. I remain at your disposal for other questions.

46 year old female. Symptoms: heart rate between 100-140 at rest, heat intolerance, nervousness, insomnia, thirst, slight hand tremor, restless legs at night (pain not kicking), fatigue, no changes in weight, rapid eye sight deterioration, no changes in menstrual cycle, no live births - but one miscarriage, puffy eyes, reddish complextion, A1C and blood pressure are both fine.Does this sound like hyperthyroidism? Or do you have a better guess.
