Gout is a very painful condition where most patients have painful great toe which can sometimes be swollen and inflammed as well.
The treatment for that is uric acid lowering agent, I usually put febuxostat as it is devoid of side effects the other option is allopurinol. Diclofenac is only to reduce the pain and inflammation, it should not be used regularly
Along with that I recommend that you avoid red meat as it is rich in uric acid.
