Suggest Medication For Cold With Chest Congestion

Question: My husband has a cold with chest congestion. he is on prescription medication for bipolar depression and anxiety including Bupropin (generic for Wellbutrin), Olanzipine (generic for Zyprexa), and Clonazipine (generic for Klonapine). Want to know what medicine op safe to use?

The OTC drugs like zyrtec (cetrizine) or claritin (loratidine) for cold and chest congestion are usually safe.

The only issue with these drugs when combined with the deugs which your husband is taking, would be increased sedation.

So he must avoid driving and heavy machinery work with these drugs as he may feel drowsy.
