Question: HI DR.
I AM TAKING CARBIDOPA/ LEVODOPA FOR MY PARKINSONS SYMPTOMS, BUT I FEEL LIKE THE DRUG IS NOT WORKING. I AM TRYING TO IDENTIFY THE PILL THAT I AM TAKING, BECAUSE I AM WORRIED THAT IT MAY NOT BE CORRECT. THE PRESCRIPTION IS FOR [ Carbidopa/Levodopa 25/100MG TABS] 4 TIMES PER DAY.
THE IMAGES THAT I CAN LOCATE ON LINE DO NOT INCLUDE MY PILLS, WHICH ARE A ROUND CREAMY COLOR TAB WITH THE NUMBER 539 OVER A LINE ON ONE SIDE AND A LARGE 'R' OR A P1 ON THE OTHER. CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS PILL FOR ME??
THANK YOU… YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Looks to be the correct pill.

Detailed Answer:
Hello! I read your question carefully and I believe that you have the correct medication. That description you make corresponds to a the Carbidopa/Levodopa 25/100 mg produced by Actavis and some other generic companies.

It is round, has the 539 number with a scoring line on one side and a R symbol on the other.

I am including below a link from a medication site with photos of these tablets in order for you to see yourself and compare just to make sure:

I hope to have been of help.
