Question: I just had a cough that has left my throat with a strong burning sensation. Is there a home remedy for this one time event? I hope to quiet the pain down.

The burning is due to irritation/inflammation of the throat as a result of the coughing.

An anti inflammatory medication may help with that along with gargling with salt water.

Eg of anti inflammatory medication such as naproxen or ibuprofen , can be used. These are over the counter meds.
