Brief Answer: Proteinicious diet with complint antibiotic use Detailed Answer: Thank you for asking! Amoxacillin and clauvlanate are a combination antibiotic common with the name augmentin. It is an antibiotic used very commonly for gram positive staphylococcal bacterial coverage and cellulitis is its one main indication. Potassium in it is because of the side effect of this antibiotic of diarrhoea which leads to low potassium and thus potassium is supplemented with an antibiotic. Rest assured diet restrictions are not associated with the cellulitis rather we recommend good protenicous diets for early recovery. But if you mean what food can replace this antibiotic so answer is no. You have to take the antibiotic to get the cellulitis managed. Keep the diet good and rich in proteins and stay in touch with your surgeon. You are lucky your cellulitis needs outpatient care. Patients get admitted and even surgically managed and still does not respond and cellulitis worsens. nutshell, No replacement. Just the supplementation. Seek a dietitian for further dietary plan. I hope it helps. Don't forget to close the discussion please. May the odds be ever in your favour S Khan
